We do our homework

We do our homework

Did you know that we are a world leader in the research of pet nutrition? We study the effects caused by obesity, new nutritional trends and different discoveries in human nutrition. This is because we do not want to get stuck in the industry, we want to take it forward. All this is part of our mission to enrich the lives of domestic animals, getting them to live a long and healthy life with their owners. With our eighty years of experience in this industry, conducting research is nothing new to us.

We go beyond the label

We like the labels of our food. That's because we know that our pet food is full of nutrients, and that all our ingredients come from high quality sources. But we also believe that a label should reflect the results, not just a nice product formulation. That's why we develop our food around the results we see in real pets, from a shiny coat to a healthy energy and even a better life. It is our mission to study how our products affect animals throughout their lives, so now we know that labels are not only pleasant to read, but represent real results.

  • Lifelong learning

In our study, we discovered that a lifetime of adequate nutrition could extend a dog's health years. You can be sure that our eating guidelines take this into account, and our recommended servings are optimized for a long and healthy life.

  • One of our innovation centers

At our research facilities in the state of Missouri, we have more than 100 associates, including researchers, nutritionists and veterinarians committed to the discoveries of tomorrow and how nutrition can contribute to health to determine how different ingredients could improve the life of the pets in general.

  • A culture of discovery

Innovation drives everything we do in our animal care center, where our feeding studies help develop a better understanding of the natural preferences, needs and behaviors of dogs and cats. Our trained staff looks after our dogs and cats with respect and affection, because most of us own pets. At Purina, our passion for pets is helping dogs and cats stay happy and healthy throughout their lives.

  • Classmates

When it comes to gaining an exhaustive knowledge of the discoveries that can improve the lives of pets, we believe it is important to go beyond our own limits. That is why we have partnered with research organizations and universities, financing their most innovative research.
